While building houses, residential buildings, town or suburban areas architects and planners consider more and more our requirements since we all more or less consciously want to be granted about liveability of cities, districts, buildings or houses. This word “liveability” resumes many and various meanings that can also be in contrast one with the other. The commitment of architects and planners is exactly to find an harmony that can meet all requirements and an eco-friendly development. Particularly when natural environments of great value have to be built.
Caminho has so much considered this aspect that is has become a must, a duty.

Here follows the opinion of architect Stocco Neto, the planner of the houses that Caminho offers:

The ecological house
When we think about good living – mainly if we have decided to buy or to build a new house – some old wishes lead us. First of all we want a nice house, prominent, comfortable, well lighted and ventilated, functional and with a good circulation among the rooms.
Recently other features have entered the list of wishes: practicalness, use of modern materials and easy maintenance. And at the end the common wish of our time: our house has to be eco-friendly and planned to be environment sustainable.
Anyway up to now ecology and sustainability, particularly for architecture, were such as something alternative and experimental. They were seen as something futuristic and often not compatible with beauty, practicalness, functionality and comfort.
Thinking to this the architecture studio of Stocco Neto has developed a line of ecological and sustainable projects for residential buildings.
The aim is to meet this increasing trend of the market and create eco-friendly projects such as houses made by materials that does not affect Nature, using sun heating and collection of rain water that meet the concept of sustainability.
We have selected products and suppliers through a careful research among the most advanced ones in the concept of environment and we have created an architecture that highlights materials, leaving on sight the eco-friendly bricks, concrete and other elements, so that the entire building enjoys a rustic style and is pleasant to the eyes and to live in.
The look of wood is maintained by using PVC windows, doors and decks – external paving – in PVC wood. The main beams are in real wood. (The reason for this choice is to exploit the possibility to recycle PVC and fight deforestation. In manufacturing doors and windows the discarded part of wood is 40% of the original trunk while for the main beams the discarded part is just 5%).
Moreover architects are also very interested in developing projects in line with the expectations of their customers. They take into account the area around the house and try to keep the original topography and vegetation of the ground to reduce the impact on the environment.
So nowadays it is possible to plan and build an eco-friendly house with style, high comfort standards, beauty and also fulfil all your wishes.

But Caminho has considered the environment aspect in the whole apportioned area and has dedicated 35% of the entire surface to green areas, that is about 1.250.000 sm, 87.000 of woodland.
Moreover the construction of blocks of flats is not allowed inside the apportioned area. Only houses can be built. The construction of an hotel has been decided in a limited and bordering area.
This is not a choice suggested by ecological fanaticism but to defend and grant buyers and to offer them a basic environment as much as possible suitable to common requirements.
